Veloxo or the usual way?

Most riders train with a global app and find events in WhatsApp groups. Veloxo puts your plan, a coach to ask and Indian club events in one app. Here’s how it compares.

In short

Three things only Veloxo does together

01

A plan that bends

Built for your goal and riding days. Tell Velo about a late meeting and it moves the ride for you.

02

A coach in plain words

Velo, your Sports Intelligence (SI) coach, knows your plan and your rides. Hours and feelings, not scores.

03

Your next event, in the same app

Find a club event, pay the club by UPI, get your bib, then train for it.

Side by side

Feature by feature

“Global training apps” means the popular training apps built for riders everywhere. “The usual way” means a plan PDF, WhatsApp groups, Google Forms and UPI screenshots.

Other apps change often and differ from each other, so this compares kinds of tools, not one app. Last checked October 2026.

Being honest

When another app may suit you better

Veloxo is new and does a few things well. If one of these matters most to you, try the others too.

01

Recording rides

Veloxo doesn’t record rides. Your Wahoo, Garmin or Zwift does, and the ride comes back to Veloxo on its own.

02

Deep power charts

If you love power curves and training-load graphs, a data-heavy app or Intervals.icu shows more. Veloxo keeps it simple.

03

iPhone

The beta is Android only for now. iPhone comes later.

Common questions

Questions

Can I keep using my other apps?

Yes. Keep Strava, Intervals.icu or anything else. Veloxo plans and coaches; your device records. Your device can still send rides to all of them.

I already pay for a training app. Why switch?

You don’t have to. Try Veloxo free during the beta and see if a plan you can talk to, and events in the same app, work better for you.

What is an SI coach?

SI means Sports Intelligence. Velo knows your plan, your rides and your goal, and answers in plain words. It runs on AI and can make mistakes, and its advice is general training guidance, not medical advice.

Do I need a power meter or a smart trainer?

No. Your workouts work by effort and time. Add your FTP and they use power targets too.

Which events are on Veloxo?

Events from cycling clubs that list them on Veloxo. We review every club before its events go live, and more clubs join as we grow. Run a club? List your club.

Does Veloxo take a cut of my entry fee?

No. You pay the club directly by UPI. Veloxo never receives or holds entry fees.
